The City government is reinforcing security in the subway, as we have been doing throughout the City. Buenos Aires, March 17 (NA) -- The City government deployed a major saturation operation this Tuesday to reinforce security in the subway, with the presence of 1,000 police officers who were stationed at various stations and inside the cars. This is the first step, which will continue with the strategic plan designed by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security, as every day more than 300 agents will cover the 90 stations from 5:30 a.m. to midnight. "800,000 people move underground every day, and we want them to enjoy this marvelous City," stated Head of Government Jorge Macri, who supervised the operation at Diagonal Norte station on Line C. Likewise, the mayor added, "We are not going to back down a single centimeter because this is and will continue to be the most orderly City to live in freedom. We want people to travel more and more safely and with greater peace of mind. For this, we are reinforcing security in the subway and also renovating the stations and changing the cars."
