The Ministry of National Security has implemented the Federal Road Control Program for Sporting Events (PROFERED). This measure aims to prevent violence and crimes before fan groups reach sporting venues. The initiative was published in the Official Bulletin on March 13th. In response, PROFERED was officially launched, which will operate within the Inter-jurisdictional Transfers Coordination Unit. This security scheme will fall under the direct orbit of the National Security Secretariat. Additionally, security forces are authorized to carry out preventive checks and set up strategic checkpoints on national highways and key accesses to stadiums. According to the grounds stated in the Official Bulletin, accessed by the Argentine News Agency, previous operations by the Directorate of Security at Sporting Events have yielded alarming results: the recurrent transport of weaponry (both firearms and white arms), as well as narcotics and persons under the effects of alcohol, was detected. For the Executive Branch, these findings constitute a direct threat to the integrity of spectators and the normal development of the events.
