This was indicated in a statement by Claudio Dellecarbonara, secretary of the Association of Subway and Premetro Workers (AGTSyP - Metrodelegados), accessed by the Argentine News Agency, in which he stated: “This measure is a continuation of the campaign for the reinstatement of Araceli Pintos, an integral part of the actions of March 8 and a continuation of the demand for the reinstatement of Araceli Pintos”. In the same writing, he added that Pintos was “illegally and discriminatorily dismissed after reporting sexual harassment suffered by a City police officer”. Meanwhile, Emova stated: “In response to the measure announced at Congreso de Tucumán station for Monday by a group of delegates, the company clarifies that these actions, which the union has been carrying out, are a response to the decision not to effectively hire an employee after her probationary period due to repeated failures in her duties. The company complied with all possible instances to avoid this situation”.
