Buenos Aires, March 6 (NA) – President Javier Milei extended an invitation to the United States for ten governors to attend Argentina Week, an event through which the National Government hopes to attract investors to the country. In this way, in addition to the head of state, who will speak on one of the panels, the Executive Branch has summoned ten allied provincial governors who will be present alongside Cabinet members. According to Noticias Argentinas agency, the libertarian administration has confirmed the participation of Marcelo Orrego (San Juan), Raúl Jalil (Catamarca), Carlos Sáenz (Jujuy), Gustavo Sáenz (Salta), and Claudio Vidal (Santa Cruz), who will speak on the panel focused on strategic mining and critical minerals. Likewise, they have also confirmed their attendance: Rolando Figueroa (Neuquén), Alberto Weretilneck (Río Negro), Alfredo Cornejo (Mendoza), Ignacio Torres (Chubut), and Juan Pablo Valdés (Corrientes), who will speak on the panel focused on Vaca Muerta, LNG development, export infrastructure, and renewable energies, with the opening speech given by the head of YPF, Horacio Marín. Both panel discussions will take place on Thursday, March 12, when the head of state will travel to Chile to witness the inauguration ceremony of the recently elected José Antonio Kast. Despite the invitation, the governors will travel at their own expense, separate from the trip that Javier Milei will make with the presidential delegation, which also includes the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni; the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei; and the Ministers Federico Sturzenegger (Deregulation and State Transformation), Luis Caputo (Economy), and Pablo Quirno (Foreign Affairs).
