President Javier Milei received U.S. Ambassador to Argentina Peter Basile at the Quinta de Olivos residence on Tuesday amid the open conflict in the Middle East. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the exchange began at 10:00 at the presidential residence and lasted for an hour and a half. Hours earlier, the Iranian regime bombed the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The libertarian government's relationship with Basile is fluid. The U.S. diplomat was even present at the Congress last Sunday during the session that formally opened the legislative year. Since arriving in the country, Basile has held meetings with other officials such as Interior Minister Diego Santilli, Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni, and President of the Chamber of Deputies Martín Menem. The ambassador, in turn, revealed that he is working to make Trump's visit to Argentina a reality.
