Senator Godoy Defends Government's Labor Reform

National Senator for Chaco from La Libertad Avanza, Juan Cruz Godoy, defended the government's labor reform by stating that 'this law is the product of a deep democratic process of debate and negotiation.' As the official bloc's rapporteur, the libertarian highlighted that the norm introduces 'definitions of salary and salary benefits to avoid the high litigation that our country has.' 'A Labor Assistance Fund is created as a tool to give certainty to employers and employees in case of possible layoffs,' he specified. Godoy also recalled that 'more than 70% of employment in our country is thanks to SMEs, which is why the RIMI (Regime of Incentives for Medium Investments) is important.' He mentioned that 'the RIGI (Regime of Incentives for Large Investments) was a first step, but considering the capacity of SMEs that generate employment, we believe it is important to give incentives to these companies to generate more investment and more employment.' He also emphasized that the law contains the 'elimination of internal taxes' and 'gives a deadline for the renewal of professional statutes to update them to today's reality.' 'We accept many modifications since this began.'
