Buenos Aires, February 26 (NA) – Ulises Jaitt and his lawyer this Thursday requested the General Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court of Justice of the province of Buenos Aires to issue a report on the status of the case investigating the death of model Natacha Jaitt. According to the documents accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the radio host and the lawyer Yamil Castro Bianchi requested to be informed of the proceedings to confirm “whether they are in process, under analysis or pending resolution, as well as the currently intervening authority.” The injured party demanded that new investigations be opened for the possible commission of new crimes due to the alleged false testimonies of singer Lissa Vera and Marcelo Alejandro Crescini. In this sense, the victim's brother specifically requested a confrontation between the accused parties “to definitively clear up the inconsistency between both statements.” Likewise, Ulises Jaitt filed a reconsideration appeal against the administrative decision that rejected his motion related to the reassignment of the criminal investigation to a different seat of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) of San Isidro, in order to “guarantee compliance with the minimum standards of objectivity, impartiality and due diligence that govern the prosecutorial action.” The journalist considers that said challenge “constitutes an act that directly and illegitimately affects” his rights as an “indirect victim of a serious crime.” Furthermore, in the document, he emphasized that the investigation into his sister's death “is of public interest and institutional seriousness, which imposes a reinforced standard of motivation and transparency.” The model, actress and showgirl, 41 years old, was found dead on February 23, 2019, in an event hall in the Buenos Aires locality of Benavídez, and according to the autopsy, she suffered multiple organ failure after consuming cocaine, but the family denounced irregularities, contradictions in the witnesses' testimonies, and suspicions of a possible homicide.
