Buenos Aires, February 26 (NA) – National Senator for Santa Cruz José María Carambia justified his vote against the approval of Fernando Iglesias's nomination as ambassador to the European Union, considering him 'an arrogant, pedantic, and incapable person to perform the function.'
'In our view, that is why we will vote negatively. He is a pedantic, arrogant man, incapable of performing the function, and when people like that sometimes end up in such important positions, it seems to me that it will create more problems than anything else,' expressed Carambia, with little patience.
To make matters worse, he added: 'That is why we will go against this delusional, arrogant, and pedantic man.'
The lapidary reasons put forward by the opposition legislator provoked ironic laughter in the Peronist bloc, who welcomed the forcefulness of the santacruceño's expressions.
Finally, Iglesias's candidacy for ambassador to Belgium and the European Union was approved with 38 affirmative votes, 31 negative votes, and one abstention, as reported by the Argentine News Agency.
