President Javier Milei has invited deputies and senators to a barbecue at the Olivos residence next Sunday, following his speech before the Legislative Assembly, according to Argentine News Agency from official sources. The meeting is intended to 'thank the work done and encourage libertarian representatives to advance at full speed with the pending parliamentary agenda.' In the Chamber of Deputies, parliamentary sources confirmed the meeting in response to a query from the Argentine News Agency. The idea is that each 'violet' legislator (a member of the Libertarian Proposals party) will pay for their own meal, as has happened on other occasions, and it is not ruled out that parliamentary representatives with good ties to the government will be present. It is also expected that certain officials in charge of relations with the congressional blocs will attend the meeting, the first of its kind so far this year. Milei had previously used his residence on December 22 of last year to receive his management team. It was not a customary meeting, but it served for the head of the executive branch to take stock of the year and detail the reform agenda. No one was absent from that meeting: in addition to ministers and secretaries, the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei; the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni; and central figures of the libertarian political table, such as the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, and Senator Patricia Bullrich, among other officials, were summoned.
