Bullrich mocks kirchnerism after Senate leadership changes

Buenos Aires, February 24 (NA) – The head of the La Libertad Avanza bloc of senators, Patricia Bullrich, today mocked kirchnerism after stripping it of leadership positions in the Senate during the preparatory session. "Oops," was the onomatopoeia derived from the English language that the former Minister of Security used on her social media X account to comment on the government's political move and ridicule the bloc led by José Mayans. Bullrich's jab came after this Tuesday, La Libertad Avanza handed over the first vice-presidency of the Senate to Carolina Moisés, who belongs to Convicción Federal, the bloc of Justicialist-extraction governors close to Javier Milei, who just recently split from the peronist inter-bloc. The government's masterstroke meant a major blow to the leadership of the Justicialist bloc, with Cristina Kirchner at its helm, as it left Peronism without representation in the leadership of the Upper House, after in the last two years the role of vice president had been held by former Neuquén senator Silvia Sapag. According to what was corroborated by the Argentine News Agency, this is the first time since the return of democracy that the main opposition force will not have its own representative in the Senate's leadership scheme.
