Argentine Government Launches Website for Municipal Fee Reporting

The national government has created a website for citizens across the country to voluntarily report the fees charged by each municipality. The link is www.argentina.gob.ar/jefatura/tasas-municipales and it is directly accessible without prior registration. The announcement was made by the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, on his social media. This led to a response on social media from the mayor of Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza, who called the official a "shameless person" and accused the government of "taking the money from working people, inflation goes up every month and wages go down. The middle class is getting poorer every day." Likewise, after an ironic response from Adorni using question marks, Mendoza retorted: "You think you're smart, but your face gives you away.". The Chief of Staff's response was as follows: "Mayra, the only one who thinks she's 'smart' is you, criticizing with fallacies a government that, since taking office, has tried to get the country out of the mess that your different governments left it in".
