On Wednesday, the majority of bus drivers from Doscientos Ocho Transporte Automotor (DOTA) will decide in various assemblies whether to join the general strike called by the CGT, to which the Unión Tranviarios Automotor (UTA) will also adhere on the day the Labor Reform is debated in the Chamber of Deputies. The decision could have two different stances, as some factions within DOTA are part of the UTA led by Roberto Fernández, while others represent the Unión de Conductores de la Républica Argentina (UCRA), which is in conflict with the official union. Nevertheless, there will be 'freedom of action' for the sector's unions. 'On Wednesday we will hold an assembly with the comrades and we will see there, but if the UTA adheres to the strike, we will probably stop working,' a delegate close to Fernández told the Noticias Argentinas agency. However, UCRA spokespeople emphasized to NA that they will only 'talk about the issue on Wednesday itself' while conversations with the comrades are ongoing.
