Founder of Suizo Argentina Returns to Headquarters Amid Judicial Probe

Buenos Aires, February 13 (NA) – The founder of the Suizo Argentina pharmacy chain, Eduardo Kovalivker, returned this Friday to the company's headquarters located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, amidst the progress of a judicial investigation into a alleged corruption scheme at the National Disability Agency (ANDIS) and as public attention grows on the business circles involved. According to a reconstruction by the Argentine News Agency, the businessman entered around 10 a.m. through the vehicle access on Monroe Avenue in a 'little blue car,' as described by neighbors and employees accustomed to his routine. Although he usually stays in the offices for a short time, this time his stay was longer than usual and was marked by unusual movements from private security personnel and inquiries directed at a reporter from Radio Splendid who was present at the scene. The glass building on Monroe and Ramsay—described in previous coverage as a true 'fortress' due to its camera system, electronic controls, presence of private guards, and police patrol—again showed a strong informal surveillance operation, with requests for identification and monitoring of journalistic work. During the day, the entry and exit of private vehicles and the intervention of officers from the City Police were also observed after a call to 911, although in the end, the agents allowed the reporter to continue his coverage. While members of the Kovalivker clan were not included in the first round of indictments, the investigation maintains its focus on the Suizo Argentina pharmacy chain, mentioned in audio recordings and communications incorporated into the file. In parallel, other judicial lines had already put the company under scrutiny: last year, the Justice ordered raids at the Osprera social work and in official dependencies to seize documentation on contracts with the pharmacy chain, which had received million-dollar payments during a state intervention. As the investigation advances, the scene at the Belgrano headquarters reflects the climate surrounding the business group today: strict controls, permanent surveillance, and a hermeticism that makes it almost impossible to obtain direct statements from its main protagonists. This week, the Federal Chamber of San Martín confirmed the processing of the head of security for the Nordelta neighborhood for alleged maneuvers to impede a raid related to Jonathan Kovalivker, within the framework of the file that investigates directed contracts and possible improper payments within ANDIS. The case, currently under the federal court of Ariel Lijo, already includes charges against former officials and continues to evaluate the role of entrepreneurs linked to the health sector. In this context, the presence of other members of the family group was not registered: Jonathan Kovalivker, a frequent visitor to the building, remained absent, while close associates assured that Emmanuel Kovalivker is disconnected from the company. The businessman's return occurred in a delicate judicial context.
