Argentine VP delays labor reform bill submission to Congress

Buenos Aires, Feb 13 (NA) — Argentine Vice President Victoria Villarruel has yet to submit the labor reform bill, passed early yesterday morning in the Senate, to the Chamber of Deputies. It is estimated that she could only forward it this afternoon, sources informed the Argentine News Agency (NA). The La Libertad Avanza coalition needs the project in the Chamber of Deputies to be able to convene the joint session of the Labor Legislation and Budget commissions for next Wednesday. The goal is to issue a report on the bill before the end of the extraordinary legislative sessions. Until Thursday night, the Senate was finalizing the text to be sent to the Chamber of Deputies, as the report signed in December had about 50 changes, parliamentary sources specified to NA. Conversely, the Chamber of Deputies has already sent to the Senate the projects approved last night: the Juvenile Penal Regime and the Mercosur-EU Agreement.
