Buenos Aires, February 12 (NA) – Federal Encounter Deputy Miguel Pichetto indicated this Thursday that he is 'in agreement with lowering the age of criminal responsibility to 14', although he allowed himself to 'doubt that the Government will allocate the budget for this law'. In his view, 'the resources allocated in the Budget are insignificant' and he specified that 'the square meter of construction for confinement is close to 7,000 dollars'. 'This law requires a special clause so that the provinces can come into force when the conditions are in place and the establishments for minors are built,' Pichetto emphasized. IP 'We are facing an old and recurring debate in Argentina, similar to the Labor Reform that appears whenever there is a non-Peronist government,' Pichetto analyzed. According to him, 'these are measures of effect that serve for the self-promotion of certain senators or former ministers (such as Patricia Bullrich) who, not content with 14 and wanting 13 or perhaps 10, because that places them further to the right and puts them in the place of facile rhetoric that satisfies some sectors'.
