Swiss Argentina HQ in Buenos Aires: Reinforced Security After Scandal

In Buenos Aires, Belgrano neighborhood, is the headquarters of the Swiss Argentina pharmacy. Following a bribery scandal at ANDIS, the company has significantly enhanced the security of its building. Private guards, police, and modern access control systems, including cameras and biometric scanners, are on-site. The building contrasts with the area's classic style with its modern glass architecture.

A BMW SUV, also of the latest generation, entered through that place and remained there until the afternoon. Security is something that the Kovalivker family takes very seriously: the first thing you notice when arriving via Monroe is the presence of a red vehicle with at least two people from the San Miguel company; they are the ones who guard the entrance through those gates and also assist those who need to drop off or pick up goods, a rather scarce movement throughout the day.

In addition to the fixed post, security is reinforced by an officer from Commune 13A—patrolling the grid, not fixed—and the alternative presence of the different divisions of the Federal Police that guard the Monument to the Fallen, located in the Americas Park.

The reporter's presence was quickly alerted and communicated inside the building, where the arrival of main authorities was not observed during the day.

Fixed cameras pointing in different directions on the walls and a 360° dome on the post located right in front of the entrance to Ramsay 2500 complete the security of the place, where nothing seems to be left to chance: from the first question from the private security staff to the multiple controls, which include access by fingerprint or electronic keys included in employees' mobile phones to open the turnstile that finally gives access to the rest of the building.

Thus, it was possible to see a latest-generation Volvo enter through the Monroe gate and leave ten minutes later through the Ramsay exit.

This seems to work selectively, as the vehicles that entered via Ramsay parked and left again through the same gate, always assisted by a City Police officer.

Buenos Aires, February 12 (NA) – The glass building on the corner of Ramsay and Monroe, in the Belgrano neighborhood, is the headquarters of the Swiss Argentina pharmacy, a company whose name became known after the bribery scandal at the National Disability Agency (ANDIS).

The building, a modern construction that contrasts with the more classic physiognomy of Monroe Avenue, continues on the corner of Ramsay and Figueroa Alcorta, where one of the country's most prestigious design studios is located.

About 20 meters on a side, the headquarters of Swiss Argentina, on the ground floor with electronic devices for entry, adds three floors of offices with street views, inside of which the movement of employees can be appreciated, who are already at their workstations by 8 a.m.

Uniform lighting and functional furniture, without too many luxuries, is what can be seen through the glasses that, remarkably, lack curtains to give a little privacy to the most exposed.
