Bullrich Defends Labor Reform Project in Argentina

Senator for the 'La Libertad Avanza' bloc, Patricia Bullrich, rebutted criticism and staunchly defended the labor modernization project. The lawmaker, who stated that the current system is part of 'obsolete legislation' that keeps the country 'anchored in the past', emphasized that the key to growth lies in dynamizing the private sector, not in expanding the state. 'We want private employment for the freedom of the people,' she stressed, linking job creation with the need for a general tax cut. Bullrich argued that the reform does not seek to remove rights, but to grant those that informality denies workers today. 'We are working to generate jobs that will allow that worker to have those rights that have been denied to them,' she stated, clearly referring to the millions of Argentines who currently operate outside the registered system.
