Buenos Aires, Feb 3 (NA) – Journalist Fernanda Iglesias came out to publicly respond to the versions that, she expressed, Roberto Pettinato hinted at regarding a supposed personal relationship between them. According to what the Argentine News Agency learned, in Puro Show, Iglesias denied that they were a couple or lovers and assured that they only shared a work bond. "We were work colleagues, we were not boyfriends, not lovers, nothing," she stated. Additionally, she challenged him to state it explicitly if he maintains another version: "Say it in black and white, let's see if he dares to say we were lovers." The journalist also raised that even in the supposed case that a bond existed, that would not invalidate situations of discomfort or lack of consent. Likewise, she pointed out that a person can feel harassed even within a relationship and explained that the desire of one party does not imply the consent of the other: "That you want doesn't mean I want," she recounted that she told him once. According to her testimony, the host did not respect her refusals: "It didn't matter to him, he had no record of the other," she stated when describing the attitude he maintained in the face of her boundaries. Regarding the possibility that Pettinato will take the legal route, Iglesias assured that she does not see it as a threat and that, on the contrary, she sees it as positive: "Let them go to Justice, because that way the whole truth will be known," she expressed. She also indicated that there are witnesses to the situations she describes and that different people she worked with told her they had seen similar behavior. The journalist emphasized that a judicial process would allow more voices to testify and for the facts to be exposed. She also responded to other affirmations that, she said, he promised to demonstrate, and was direct: "Let him prove it." Finally, she concluded that she has no problem with the matter being legally resolved because she is telling the truth and considers that a judicial file would allow all those involved to speak.
