Buenos Aires, February 2 (NA) -- After submitting his resignation, the now former director of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), Marco Lavagna, said goodbye this noon to the institute's staff through a letter in which he officially formalized his decision to 'close this stage'. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), which had access to the email sent at 12:47, Lavagna described his time at the entity as '6 years of a lot of work and enormous challenges', in which 'progress was made in improving public statistics'.
