Argentina's Illegal Flight Probe Gains Political Resonance

The judicial investigation into alleged irregular flights to a mansion in Villa Rosa, Pilar district, has taken on a political and business resonance. The investigation has added a helicopter belonging to Luis Gold, increasing the number of flights under suspicion to almost a hundred and creating a network linking football leaders, top pharmaceutical entrepreneurs, and direct family ties to a serving Argentine ambassador. This family alliance was the basis for the growth of the Insud Group, one of the world's most important pharmaceutical and biotechnology conglomerates, with a strong presence in Argentina and participation in the local production of the AstraZeneca vaccine during the pandemic. From an aeronautical point of view, the investigation also detected significant administrative irregularities. The case confirmed that a helicopter belonging to Luis Gold is linked to transfers to the property attributed to the treasurer of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Pablo Toviggino, which incorporates into the file one of the historic families of the Argentine pharmaceutical industry and a serving ambassador. According to official records and reconstructions incorporated into the file, the Bell 407GX helicopter, registration LV-FNE, would have made at least 34 flights between May 2025 and January 2026 to the mansion under investigation. The aircraft belongs to and is operated by Luis Gold, a historic pharmaceutical entrepreneur, brother-in-law and partner of Hugo Sigman in various health and biotechnology ventures. The data takes on greater institutional relevance because Luis Gold is the grandfather of the Argentine ambassador to France, Ian Sielecki, a diplomat who in recent weeks has played a prominent role in defending Argentine sovereignty over the Falkland Islands in European diplomatic forums and spheres. The federal court in charge of the case is now deepening the cross-referencing of aeronautical, patrimonial and financial data to determine criminal responsibilities and the real scope of the investigated maneuvers. Sources consulted: Clarín; Agencia Noticias Argentinas; official ANAC records; judicial sources; business records of Phoenix laboratories and the Insud Group. The authorization process began on May 13, 2025, but the first recorded flight dates from May 3, which raises questions about the legality of the operations. The case was already analyzing another helicopter, a Bell 429 operated by Flyzar, with coincident flight patterns, interruptions in tracking systems and repeated trips to the same property. In this way, the judicial case connects flights under suspicion with the direct family environment of a key representative of the Argentine State abroad. The family plot is central to understanding the network that Justice is now analyzing. Ian Sielecki is the son of Aníbal Sielecki, who is the brother of Silvia Gold. Silvia Gold, in turn, is the wife of Hugo Sigman, which makes the pharmaceutical entrepreneur the father-in-law of the Argentine ambassador to France. According to records from the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC), several flights of the LV-FNE helicopter would have been made before the heliport of the mansion had formal authorization. In both cases, the flights began immediately after the accelerated construction of the heliport, detected by satellite images. The file also exposed serious failures in state controls, with flight plans without declared passengers that passed through bodies such as ANAC, the Airport Security Police (PSA) and EANA without objections. Buenos Aires, February 2, 2026 – Total News Agency-TNA – The judicial investigation into alleged irregular flights to a mansion located in Villa Rosa, Pilar district, has acquired a high-voltage political and business resonance.
