Buenos Aires, Jan 30 (NA) - Horacio Pagani has sparked a new controversy by commenting on the role of women in sports journalism, remarks that have caused strong backlash and led to a public feud with Diego Leuco. As confirmed by the Noticias Argentinas news agency, the host sharply criticized the veteran journalist's comments and came to the defense of Morena Beltrán, one of the central figures in the debate. From his streaming show 'Antes Que Nadie', Leuco targeted Pagani's influential position in sports journalism: 'The problem is putting Pagani on a pedestal of idolatry. He has always been like that'. Earlier, in response to criticism, Pagani posted a video on his X account directly addressing Leuco: 'I cannot allow any parsley to disrespect me. Besides, these are my opinions, you cannot judge me'. Pagani also denied reports of his professional connection with Leuco's father at the Clarín newspaper: 'You say your dad told me I chose the best trips and awards. You have nothing to prove that'. To conclude, the veteran journalist was even harsher and directly targeted the host: 'You act like a know-it-all, you speak with arrogance'.
