Today, the head of the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) senators' bloc, Patricia Bullrich, will meet with the family of Jeremías Monzón, the 15-year-old teenager who was stabbed to death 23 times by minors in the province of Santa Fe. Official sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the meeting is taking place this Friday at 11:45 in the Senate Chamber. The meeting comes just weeks before the debate in the Senate on lowering the age of criminal responsibility, one of the projects the government intends to pass along with the labor reform. Jeremías was ambushed and brutally murdered in Santo Tomé at the end of December by three teenagers, two of whom were returned to their families because they are not punishable under current law. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Milagros A. is being held at a juvenile institute, while her mother has been charged as an accomplice.
