Buenos Aires, January 28 (NA) – The general secretary of ATE, Rodolfo Aguiar, confirmed this Wednesday that after two complaints filed by different employees of Neuroeléctrica Argentina S.A. due to overpricing, evidence is being gathered for future accusations that will be launched in the coming weeks. "This is the most corrupt government in history because it has only been in power for two years, and every time you lift a tile in public administration, you discover a new scam. If someone pays 7 million dollars for something that is worth 600,000, there are clearly kickbacks. But there are others," Aguiar stated. He also emphasized that, on one hand, public resources were appropriated, without ruling out the existence of kickbacks. "For now, we cannot confirm them because we prefer to respect the internal boards of delegates and the times they have. And secondly, the objective is to strip the company to be able to sell it, that is, to defund to privatize," Aguiar explained. The union leader stated that all the decisions carried out by the Government since the beginning of its term "attack the effectiveness of the State" and maintained that "it is a lie that they want to save." Likewise, he stressed that all measures taken by the administration of Javier Milei "will impact the rights that society has" because they are "dismantling" essential services to "favor" the concentrated economic sectors. "We have some other complaints in process that we are preparing because we still cannot make them due to the lack of documentary evidence. What is happening with Neuroeléctrica is that this case is multimillion-dollar and we cannot rule out criminal activity," Aguiar expressed. He also proposed that "this conduct comes from the officials, because the board of directors and its president (Demián Ridel) have not given any explanation or have been able to justify these overpriced purchases," Aguiar expressed regarding the two complaints for overpricing, by more than 140% and 1000%, respectively. In dialogue with the Argentine News Agency, the leader recalled that last year ATE had already detected surcharges in PAMI in the purchase of lenses for commonly known as "cataract" operations. "In that case, the overpricings were also abysmal," he added. Regarding the first complaint filed by the manager of Atucha I-II, Juan Pablo Nolasco Sáenz, related to hiring a new cleaning service, "it caught attention" that one must pay 140% more than what was being paid to the maintenance company not only "for presenting irregularities in the bidding process" but because "there were no more meters to cover with this service, nor were expansions made, nor were there new offices or buildings." The other case The second complaint, which was anonymous because ATE decided to protect the complainant's authority unless required by the judiciary, focused on "the payment and purchase of a software, an administrative management system, whose cost is 7 million dollars, when in reality the current system is worth 600,000 and even, 'it is going to work identically to how the current system works.'" "We could be facing a case of corruption because not only are there illicit acts, contrary to the laws by the officials, but in addition, the entire internal administrative procedure of the company has been violated."
