The judicial investigation into alleged sexual abuse involving businessman Marcelo Porcel (58) has added new statements that complicate his procedural situation. So far, Porcel has not been formally questioned, although the prosecutor had already considered that possibility last December. The next key step will be the receipt of the psychological reports from the victims. Ten teenagers have already testified in Cámara Gesell, while the justice system awaits the psychological reports to define a possible call to indictment. According to the court file, the testimonies of the teenagers were consistent with each other. In this scenario, Judge Bruniard will decide whether to formally charge him with aggravated sexual abuse and whether to adopt judicial measures while the investigation continues. With these elements, Prosecutor Turano must define whether he requests the call to indictment of the accused. In addition to accounts of incentives to make online bets, for which the accused would have provided money, the Argentine News Agency learned. Other phrases attributed to the businessman and incorporated into the statements include: “You have to let yourself be touched by a millionaire to have money”; “You are my heir in all businesses, I will leave everything to you”. Who is the accused? Marcelo Porcel is a 58-year-old businessman, father of four students who attend Colegio Palermo Chico and brother of Claudio Porcel, head of Balanz. The complainants are classmates of his children, a link that, according to testimonies, facilitated repeated contact between the accused and the teenagers. Status of the case The investigation is in charge of the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 50, whose head is Judge Manuel Bruniard, with the intervention of the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 1, in charge of Prosecutor Pablo Turano. The complaint is unified under the representation of lawyer Pablo Gianotti while the defense of the businessman is in charge of Roberto Rallin. Repeated invitations to private meetings in an office, at his home, at his mother's house and on a field located in Cañuelas, pointed out by at least three complainants as the place of the facts. Messages found in the businessman's cell phone were also incorporated into the case, including expressions such as: “You have abandoned me”. At least two of them attributed to the businessman the phrase: “I like guys who have codes, those who know when to shut up”. Among the denounced facts, the teenagers described “touchings” during supposed “massages” with “special oils” to relieve physical ailments, which —they recounted— ended with groping of the genitals. Given the accounts, the minors lived intimidating situations, especially when they stayed to sleep in homes linked to the accused.
