Milei Announces 'Make Argentina Great Again' at Davos Forum

At 2:00 PM (Argentine time), President Javier Milei will begin his return to the country accompanied by his delegation. The landing is scheduled for 6:00 AM this Friday. In a speech at the Davos Forum, Milei stated: "We have brought inflation down from 300% to 30%." He also highlighted the reforms pushed by the Ministry of Deregulation and State Transformation, led by Federico Sturzenegger. In this context, he declared: "This is 'Make Argentina Great Again'.'" The president emphasized the "13,500 structural reforms" in this ministry, which, in his view, "allowed Argentina to grow" because "regulation kills performance" and "hampers growth." To further solidify ties with the United States, the Argentine president will participate tomorrow at 10:30 AM in the signing of the founding act of the 'Peace Council' promoted by Trump in Davos. This new body's main objective is to secure agreements to halt conflicts in war zones and to strive for world peace. It will first focus on resolving the situation in the Gaza Strip and then work to mitigate and stop terrorist actions globally, thus serving as an alternative to the UN. As part of his final activities, Milei will be giving a series of interviews, first with the Bloomberg news agency and then with The Economist, meeting with its Editor-in-Chief, Zanny Minton Beddoes.
