Venezuelan actor Fernando Carrillo had a public confrontation with Cinthia Fernández, which has now escalated to a new level, over the detention of Nicolás Maduro by the United States. According to the Argentine News Agency, days after the televised clash, Carrillo used social media to announce that he had decided to initiate legal action against the panelist. The statement, signed by his lawyer Alejandro Cipolla, read: “This is a consequence of the injurious, aggravating, and false statements that she has publicly made against Fernando Carrillo. A regime friendly to censorship. The statements made by the aforementioned have clearly exceeded the limits of the exercise of freedom of expression, harming the honor, reputation, and personal dignity of Mr. Carrillo”. Upon hearing the announcement, Cinthia reacted from the panel of Moria Casán's show and was firm: “The truth is that it makes me very happy.”
