In Buenos Aires, two men with outstanding arrest warrants were detained in operations carried out in the Villa Real and Puerto Madero neighborhoods. One had a record for armed robbery, and the other was wanted for a sexual abuse case reported in 2024. According to the police report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the first suspect was intercepted during a vehicle control checkpoint at the intersection of Nazarre Street and General Paz Avenue, while driving a Peugeot 208. Officers checked his identity and confirmed that there was an active arrest warrant against him in a case for crimes against liberty, threats, and coercion, at the request of the Oral and Correctional Court No. 10. Furthermore, the suspect had a record for armed robbery and attempted aggravated robbery, while the judge in the case requested his detention and the seizure of the vehicle for a violation related to the lack of a front license plate. The second accused was located while walking in a public place at José Celedonio Balbín 1100, in the Puerto Madero neighborhood. He had an active arrest warrant for a sexual abuse case, reported in November 2024, which is being handled by the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 52. Both detainees were placed at the disposal of the Justice system.
