Milei Backs US, Rules Out Breaking Ties with China

President Javier Milei confirmed his support for the United States following the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro but dismissed breaking trade ties with China. Milei stated he is 'deeply geopolitically aligned' with the Donald Trump administration and remarked: 'If one is not explicit, they later make perverse readings.' According to the Argentine News Agency, the Argentine leader called it 'stupidity' for political sectors to question that 'the United States wants to appropriate the oil' because 'what determines wealth is respect for private property, life, and institutions.' 'One cannot expect intellectual honesty from people of the left,' he added. Milei also stated that the end of the extraordinary sessions means that all bills are passed. Likewise, he added: 'On March 1st, we begin with the Mayo Council, which is one of the parts because, once it ends, we will continue with the other reforms.'
