Buenos Aires, Jan 5 (NA) — The State Workers' Association (ATE), the Front of the Left and the CTA Autonomous were marching this Monday afternoon towards Plaza Italia, in the Palermo neighborhood, near the U.S. Embassy in Argentina, to protest the intervention of that country in Venezuela. Under the slogan "Get the United States out of Latin America", the organizations gathered on the sidewalk, while federal forces and the City Police deployed an operation to guarantee compliance with the anti-picket protocol. As part of the protest, protesters burned the U.S. flag in the public thoroughfare. "We have come together to repudiate U.S. interference in Venezuelan territory and the kidnapping of Maduro," Esteche expressed. "We are demanding the restitution of the legal and legitimate Venezuelan legal system," Esteche said. On the left, Deputy Myriam Bregman and leader Néstor Pitrola attended, as well as Hugo Yasky and Roberto Baradel from the CTA, while among other leaders, Quebracho's representative Fernando Esteche also did so.
