Argentina Launches 'Summer Plan' for Tourist Safety

The Minister of National Security, Alejandra Monteoliva, and the Secretary of Tourism and Environment, Daniel Scioli, today launch the 'Summer Plan,' which will begin this Tuesday, prior to Christmas, and run until early March 2026.

This Tuesday at 10:00, at the Argentine Naval Prefecture's Coast Guard Service in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, both officials will kick off the Summer Plan, which aims to prevent and mitigate criminal activities.

'The operation will be deployed nationwide from December 23, 2025, to March 9, 2026, with a special focus on areas with the highest tourist flow during the summer season,' the Argentine News Agency was informed.

The authorities explained that the main objective is to prevent and mitigate criminal activities, ensuring greater safety in travel to and from main tourist destinations through a strong territorial presence and control devices.

To this end, controls on roads, city accesses, strategic tourist points, bus terminals, ports, and airports will be reinforced, with special intensity on weekends and mid-month changes.
