In 2025, the Supreme Court of Justice of Argentina advanced in the modernization of the country's judicial system by implementing electronic auctions and developing artificial intelligence tools. This was done to improve the efficiency and transparency of the judiciary.
Through the Judicial Electronic Auctions System, made mandatory for national and federal courts based in Buenos Aires, the highest court replaced the in-person scheme, reducing geographical barriers and risks of manipulation. The platform expanded the participation of bidders from across the country and ensured the reliability of the process through an anonymity system that prevented external pressures and guaranteed a fair and equitable competition.
The mechanism also incorporated identity validation through the National Registry of Persons (RENAPER) via facial recognition, with security and certainty standards considered advanced for this type of process.
In parallel, the Court's Systems Directorate developed various artificial intelligence tools throughout 2025, including the automatic generation of case summaries in 'plain language,' which facilitated the public's understanding of rulings from all federal and national courts, with over 110,000 summaries produced.
At the end of April, the Court launched the Justicia.Ar portal, a platform that for the first time unified and centralized all information from the Argentine judicial system, including the Supreme Court, the provinces, and the City of Buenos Aires. Since its implementation, it has exceeded 180,000 visits.
