Argentinian Police Dismantles Gang That Robbed Travel Agency Posing as Police

Argentinian police have dismantled a criminal gang responsible for a violent robbery at the end of September. Five suspects have been detained following a series of 18 raids across several cities in Buenos Aires province. The gang, whose leader was among those arrested, is accused of posing as Airport Security Police officers to carry out a heist at the Oceanía Travel agency in Francisco Álvarez, stealing $80,000. During the crime, one of the robbers was shot. The investigation, which involved analyzing surveillance footage, forensic evidence, and cellular data, led to the identification of the gang's structure and leadership. Two suspects remain at large. Police seized firearms, ammunition, fake police credentials, and other evidence during the operation. The gang leader was found to be using crutches due to a bullet wound sustained during the robbery.
