Buenos Aires, Dec 4 (NA) – Social media became the epicenter of a controversy between deputies Florencia Carignano and Virginia Gallardo over the "wedding attire" chosen by the former vedette when she took her oath as a national lawmaker.
The first stone was thrown by the Santa Fe Kirchnerist, who posted a photo of the Correntine libertarian dressed in all white for the ceremony on her X account and criticized her for choosing that "outfit" in a parliamentary context. "Such a headline just to end up always attacking women and only being remembered for that," argued the ex-wife of Ricardo Fort. Along with laughing emojis, the former model and dancer added a "SOOOOO SAD".
A while later, she retorted to the libertarian: "Virchu, you were splendid, so pretty it looked like you were going to a wedding. But at least they all had the decency not to expose themselves so much with a tweet," she said in a direct criticism of Carignano.
Called out, the Unión por la Patria deputy did not miss the opportunity to "attend to" Benegas Lynch. "The entire Fort clan is in congress, ex-girlfriend, ex-boyfriend (sic)," the K-legislator wrote on X. "The Kirchnerist 'sorority' has always been this: wardrobe police, militant envy, and control of other people's bodies," analyzed the Cordovan. The libertarian recalled Carignano's unforgettable phrase to refer to some deputies of La Libertad Avanza. "A long time ago she also called @lilialemoi a 'cat'... The ones who shout 'Ni una menos' are the same ones who attack a colleague for dressing nicely and with dignity. Don't get angry, the one who gets angry in politics, loses," she suggested, along with a heart emoji.
The matter did not stop there, as the national deputy for La Libertad Avanza María Celeste Ponce flew into a rage at Carignano for her criticism of Gallardo, even calling her an "ungainly deputy." "The ungainly deputy @florcarignanook 'correcting' the clothes of @virchugallardo. Wasn't feminism here to liberate us? The patriarchy doesn't exist... K-FEMINISM does: and it is MISOGYNISTIC," Ponce lashed out.
Hours later, Deputy Bertie Benegas Lynch, a privileged witness to the swearing-in ceremony, came to the defense of his new benchmate. For the economist and president of the Budget and Finance Commission, during Virginia Gallardo's swearing-in, "the envious Kirchnerist female gazes multiplied." "I was attentive to the envious Kirchnerist female gazes and there were them."
