Argentina Integrates into Regional Aviation System

Argentina's ANAC has published new regulations, harmonizing them with Latin American standards. This step integrates the country into a regional safety system and boosts its appeal for investment.

Argentina Integrates into Regional Aviation System

The ANAC has incorporated the guidelines of the Latin American Air Regulations (LAR). For those analyzing the macro context, this means that Argentina is actively integrating into the Regional System of Cooperation for the Operational Safety Surveillance (SRVSOP), a vital program sponsored by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization). Buenos Aires, December 3 (NA) - The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC), published a new edition of Part 11 of the Argentine Civil Aviation Regulations (RAAC), the regulation that establishes the rules for the development, approval, and modification of the country's aeronautical regulations. It did so through Resolution No. 900/2025 published today in the Official Gazette, a measure that is part of the regulatory modernization process driven by the body and responds to the objective of advancing towards greater regulatory harmonization in the region, to which the Argentine News Agency had access. RAAC Part 11 is the "norm of norms," the foundation that establishes how regulations must be developed, approved, and modified in our country. The objective is clear: for the States of the region to speak the same "technical and regulatory language." By progressively adopting these criteria, the national aeronautical system obtains tangible advantages: Homogeneous Operational Safety: Procedures are standardized, which facilitates more efficient and robust supervision throughout the region. Interoperability: By aligning ourselves with LAR standards, we eliminate technical barriers with neighboring countries, facilitating transit and cooperation. Legal Security and Predictability: Clear, modern rules, consistent with global best practices, are established, which is essential to foster investment and development in the sector. Technical Sovereignty: It is relevant to highlight that this integration is carried out without ceding autonomy; Argentina adopts these standards as a sovereign decision to raise its own regulatory quality. Political and Administrative Context This measure is not an isolated fact, but is part of a larger re-engineering process driven by the National Government and the Secretariat of Transport of the Ministry of Economy. The goal is the simplification and intelligent de-regulation of the Aeronautical Code, eliminating anachronistic obstacles to allow for sustainable industry growth. "With this new edition of RAAC 11, the aviation authority reaffirms its commitment to a modern aviation. We cease to be a 'regulatory island' to consolidate a system that accompanies the global dynamic, always prioritizing operational safety," indicated from the National Secretariat of Transport. The distinctive feature of this update is its focus on international convergence.
