Buenos Aires, November 30 (NA) – Senator-elect Patricia Bullrich resigned from her post as Minister of National Security through a social media post, where she also shared the formal letter sent to President Javier Milei, as reported by the Argentine News Agency. In her social media message, Bullrich wrote: “To the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, I present my resignation from the position of Minister of National Security. I thank you deeply, Mr. President, for the trust and support to uphold and execute the security and order doctrine that prevails in the country today”. In the letter dated effective December 1, 2025, Bullrich stated: “I have the honor of addressing you to present my resignation from the position of Minister of National Security, effective as of December 1, 2025”. She recalled receiving the “clear mandate” to “care for Argentines, care for those who care for us, confront crime with determination, and restore order on the streets”, and thanked for the “trust” and “support of the entire team” that accompanied her. Bullrich confirmed that on December 10, she will assume her role as national senator, where she assured she will continue to defend “the reforms the country needs” and the values of “strong institutions, law, order, and a country where decent Argentines can live and progress in freedom”. The official wished “the greatest success” to the future minister, Alejandra Monteoliva, whom she described as someone “capable of continuing with the doctrine that has achieved order in the country today”, highlighting her “ability, experience, and commitment” to deepen the security policy.
