Buenos Aires, November 28 (NA) – The case into alleged bribes surrounding the National Disability Agency (Andis) continued this Friday with the interrogation of two former officials of the entity who, according to the investigation, had ties to businessman Miguel Ángel Calvete. These are Eduardo Nelio González, former director of the body, and Lorena Di Giorno, who was in charge of purchases within the entity. Both were at the federal courts of Comodoro Py and were interrogated by the prosecutor of the case; the two had been summoned because they had access to the Andis purchasing system, through which the misappropriation of funds would have been carried out. ANDIS CASE: deleted messages detected on Diego Spagnuolo's phone. González testified before Judge Sebastián Casanello and denied the accusations. He was accused of having followed unofficial instructions from Calvete for the benefit of a set of companies. Di Giorno, who was part of the investigated purchasing area, opted on her part not to testify, as was learned by the Noticias Argentinas agency from judicial sources. According to the investigation, both maintained a direct link with Calvete and shared business societies with him. In González's case, he was part of the firm Proveedora Integral de Supermercados Chinos S.R.L. together with Calvete, which shares an address with Indecomm SRL, the businessman's consulting firm. Calvete, detained in another case in which he was convicted in 2019, is considered a central piece in this investigation. From raids carried out in homes linked to those implicated, the prosecution obtained elements that indicate alleged illegal payments by Calvete to González. He did not answer the questions of the magistrate or prosecutor Franco Picardi.
