Buenos Aires, November 28 (NA) – At the Martín Fierro Cable Awards ceremony, Diego Brancatelli took the stage to accept the award for 'Argenzuela' as the best news program. According to Argentine News Agency, the journalist spoke on behalf of the show hosted by Jorge Rial on C5N, which, as described in the presentation, has become a reference point for political and social debate. Before beginning, he sent a message to the show's host: 'First, a greeting from and for Jorge Rial, who, for personal reasons and out of coherence, decided not to be here with us tonight, but he is in our hearts.' He defined him as 'the best host on Argentine television' and 'the best work partner', highlighting his generosity and his way of enabling freedom within the team. Brancatelli defended the program's profile and its critical view of current events: 'We are a different program that bothers the powerful. We expose everything,' he launched harshly. The journalist highlighted the role of the show's production team: 'It is the backbone of the program. Without this production, we could not do the program we do.' He also thanked the audience that accompanies them every afternoon: 'We win every afternoon, every month, during these two years.' Amid applause, he left a sharp remark: 'Thanks to this government that makes it easy for us every afternoon because it gives us material every day.' Before leaving the stage, Brancatelli dedicated the award to his closest loved ones: 'Personally, to Cecilia, Valentín, and Luca, whom I love and who are unconditional.' In that same segment, he pointed to part of the journalistic environment, by remarking that some communicators 'forgot to investigate and denounce as they did with previous governments.' 'It would have been good for them to do with this government what they did with others. We go to the mat, we play hard.'
