Justice Orders Seizure of Entrepreneur Mastropietro's Phone

Buenos Aires, November 27 (NA) -- Federal justice ordered this Friday the seizure of the cell phone of aviation entrepreneur Sergio Mastropietro, investigated for his alleged participation in a price gouging and bribery scheme at the National Disability Agency (Andis). However, the procedure was not carried out due to operational delays by the Airport Security Police (PSA) and the National Directorate of Migration. According to what Noticias Argentinas was able to learn from judicial sources, Mastropietro traveled on Saturday the 15th from Miami to Buenos Aires on a private plane that made an unscheduled stop in Tucumán, where he made a call to an unidentified recipient. Judge Sebastián Casanello had ordered the search of his electronic devices upon his arrival at Jorge Newbery Airport. Upon entering the country, PSA and Migration agents did not carry out the procedure, and the entrepreneur left the terminal. After being warned by the court, the agencies intercepted him outside the airport, but Mastropietro stated that he did not have his cell phone with him and claimed it had disappeared. From the Ministry of Security, it was reported that Migration detected the restriction after the passenger had already left, and that they proceeded to contact PSA and the court. PSA stated that when the search was carried out outside the airport, the entrepreneur was not carrying any devices. Meanwhile, the court ordered his release and requested security camera footage to reconstruct his movements. This situation could lead to a complaint, while another episode registered at the end of February is still under investigation, when a private plane from Miami arrived in the country with an employee of entrepreneur Leonardo Scatturice and ten suitcases that were not inspected, a fact that was later confirmed through airport film records.
