The legal situation against Eduardo Fort has reached its most critical point. The businessman and president of Felfort has been placed under a major embargo and has been registered as a debtor for alimony, within the framework of a case initiated by his ex-wife, Karina Antoniali. This is all happening while he awaits the birth of his first child with Rocío Marengo, who has publicly come out to support him.
According to the Argentine News Agency, through the program 'A la Tarde', Antoniali denounced that Fort was not complying with the alimony payments for the twins Angie and Pietro, who are 16 years old. The dispute, as detailed by Cora Debarbieri, has been active since 2022 and led the Justice to order extensive property measures.
The court order provides for the embargo of: • Dividends and profits he receives as a director. • Fees and any other income of the businessman. • Shares and participations within Felfort. • Real estate properties, including his current home and other assets in the City of Buenos Aires.
Furthermore, the ruling includes a prohibition on leaving the country and his registration in the alimony debtor registries of both the City and the Province of Buenos Aires. Debarbieri stated that the total amount of the debt was so high that she was not authorized to mention it, and even the figure was difficult to interpret due to its magnitude.
Attorney Juan Pablo Merlo recalled on television that, under current regulations, parents are obligated to continue providing financial support until the age of 25 if their children are students. For this reason, not only could the twins sue, but also the eldest daughter, Macarena, who is 24 years old.
This scenario adds to an already complex internal climate, as weeks ago, Eduardo's nephews, John and Thomas Fort, publicly questioned his role within the family business.
On the other hand, Antoniali's legal representation is handled by attorney Elba Marcovecchio, who has been following the case for a long time. As the case progresses, Rocío Marengo chose to support Fort with a message on social media. While she is pregnant and in her 33rd week, she shared a photo with him and expressed that she fully trusts his role as a future father. She also shared data from her last ultrasound, stating that the baby is in perfect condition.
