ANDIS Corruption Probe in Argentina

In Buenos Aires, an investigation into alleged corruption schemes at the National Agency for Disability (ANDIS) is underway, involving 15 individuals, including former officials and private sector representatives. They are suspected of colluding in procurement processes, price inflation, and the improper handling of funds related to the supply of high-cost medications and supplies.

Among the main suspects are the former head of the agency, Diego Spagnuolo, and the former director of Health Access, Daniel Garbellini. The prosecution accuses them of directing purchases and involving third parties not affiliated with the agency in decisions regarding public funds.

In addition, raids were conducted at the homes of Eduardo Nelio González, Lorena Di Giorno, and Pablo Atchabahian to seize documentation, money, and technological devices linked to contracts with various pharmacies.

Alongside them, the following individuals must testify as accused: Roger Edgar Grant, Luciana Ferrari, Federico Maximiliano Santich, Guadalupe Ariana Muñoz, Patricio Gustavo Rama, Ruth Noemí Lozano, Andrés Horacio Arnaudo, Silvana Vanina Escudero, and Alejandro Gastón Fuentes Acosta, all mentioned for their alleged participation in the investigated scheme.

In parallel, raids were carried out at the homes of Sebastián Nuner Uner, Sergio Daniel Mastropietro, Julio César Viera, Diego D’Giano, Ornella Calvete, Fernando Jensen, Fernando Daniel Domínguez, and at the headquarters of Baires Fly S.A.

The case will continue in the coming days with a round of interrogations and the ordered measures of proof, as the court and prosecution advance in determining the role of each accused in the alleged irregularities within ANDIS.
