Former PRO deputy Diego Santilli resigned as Minister of the Interior on Tuesday, presenting his resignation to President Javier Milei.
Santilli took office in a ceremony held after 3:00 PM in the White Hall of the Casa Rosada. When taking the oath, Santilli swore to "God and the Fatherland".
The event was attended by family members, cabinet members, and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, among others.
Following the meetings held on Monday at the Casa Rosada, Santilli is scheduled to begin a tour on Wednesday to dialogue with "allied governors", among whom he chose Entre Ríos' Rogelio Frigerio to kick off the initiative.
Thus, the head of the political portfolio will meet in the coming days with "10 of the 20 governors who were with the President" to agree on the reforms that the Government plans for the second half of its term, including labor, tax, and Penal Code reforms.
