Tense Debate on Salaries and Politics Between Journalist and Hospital Workers

Journalist Eduardo Feinmann and two workers from the Garrahan Hospital protagonized a tense debate this Tuesday during a live broadcast, within the framework of their struggle against the adjustment measures of the National Government.

Tension escalated with cross-accusations between the interviewer and the interviewees until the topic of the workers' salaries and the host's own salary was brought to the table.

"How much do you earn, Eduardo? And how much do I earn?" one of the workers asked.

"We did not want to overthrow any government, because that is not our part. What the fuck does it matter to you? I don't know what bothers you," Feinmann replied.

"What bothers you is that we are professionals, that we lead a fight, whoever is in government, and that we are not afraid of anyone. I win in this field, I work in the private sector. Tell me about it," the hospital representative retorted, which made the journalist explode.

Raising his voice, Feinmann was firm. "What the fuck does it matter to you? We are not government overthrowers," he sentenced. "You are a public employee," he shot back.

It was then that the Garrahan worker sent the host to "therapy."

"And on top of that, we come back to your show, even though you mistreat us a thousand times, because it's important for me to speak to your audience so they understand that you can be a professional, you can be a scientist, you can win a contest, and it's fine to hold a union position to represent the workers," the guest expressed.

The hospital representative stated that today they have a dignified salary thanks to their struggle.

"You have a problem. You are either acting for television or you are completely out of your mind," she added.
