The National Government, through the State Assets Administration Agency (AABE), officially declared the decommissioning of a valuable property of almost 10,000 square meters in the City of Buenos Aires, which was previously under the jurisdiction of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA). The measure, published this Tuesday in the Official Bulletin through Resolution 65/2025, frees up the land for its future sale or auction.
The property in question is located between Echeverría Nº 1175, Cazadores S/Nº, Juramento Nº 1142, and Artilleros Nº 2017/51/81, in Commune 13 (Belgrano), with an exact area of 9,986.79 m².
The reason for the relocation
The property was used by the Argentine Federal Police as a vehicle repair workshop for the infantry division, the fire department, and the Forest Brigade division. The Ministry of National Security had requested the relocation of these facilities.
In response, the AABE has already reassigned two sectors of a property on Zepita Nº 3102, in the Barracas neighborhood, to the PFA for use as heavy vehicle repair and maintenance workshops and as the seat of the Cadet Music Band.
Once the assignment of the new property in Barracas was finalized, the Ministry of Security (to which the PFA reports) "made available" the Belgrano property and gave its consent for its decommissioning.
Auction destination
Decommissioning is the necessary administrative step for the sale of the property. The company has already committed to relocating the facilities. Meanwhile, the PFA must continue with the "custody of the property, ensuring its safeguard, integrity, and availability" until the AABE requires it for its new destination.
The resolution recalls that Decrees Nº 518/2019 and Nº 950/2024 already authorize the AABE to "dispose of and alienate" the property and will promote "alienation procedures". As a detail, the AABE communicated to Telefónica Móviles Argentina S.A. that the property will be "the subject of a public auction in the immediate future," urging the company to relocate two large antenna structures located on the site.
