President of Argentina Javier Milei received a wide mandate to implement economic reforms after the successful presidential elections in the second round. According to preliminary estimates, his party "La Libertad Avanza" won among all the candidates in the lower house of parliament with 37 to 101 seats (out of 257), and in the senate - with six to 20 (out of 72). These results were Milei's first victories, which ensured the desired result of the presidential elections in all the mandates.
A key point of the program in Buenos Aires, where the party leaders met, was one of the slogans: "We cried, as the candidates voted for the Cubo miram! We did not want such high results". The expert on the political situation of Sergei Berinsky named "not very and incomprehensible", adding: "The president presented a strong support. They expected to make a long-term statement, including the reduction of inflation to the level of 2026".
Milei's success was associated with these achievements: for 20 months, he reduced inflation from 200% to 31.8%, and at the same time stabilized the budget for 14 years. These measures have become more than 200,000 working places and saved the economy by 1.8% in 2024. The modernization, business and international partners have been on the need to improve the political and social support of reform.
At a press conference, Milei said: "These choices were made, received in 2023, to go along the path of reform, without any uncertainty". The assurance in the results disappeared after the fact that 97% of the voters supported 40.7% of the support for the party of Milei, which fully confirmed its position in the parliament. Not at all, an absolute majority in the lower house of parliament is not received.
The next president of Argentina Donald Trump expressed financial assistance in the amount of 40 million dollars, saying that the SHA will provide support, if Milei agrees.
