The State Workers' Association (ATE) has called on provincial delegates to discuss new strategies and a "plan of action" against the government of Javier Milei. Rodolfo Aguiar, the union's general secretary, declared: "The public employees and the popular sectors, along with retirees, have been the most affected by Milei's policies. We must unite to continue resisting and start planning the counterattack."
The national leadership meeting will take place tomorrow at 10 AM at the Hotel 27 de Junio of the union, located at 1469 Defensa Street in Buenos Aires. On the other hand, ATE has also scheduled a joint plenary with the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy (UTEP) for Thursday, where topics such as "the new agreement with the IMF, the conditions imposed on Argentina, and the increase in external debt" will be addressed.
"The new agreement has turned Argentina into a country intervened by the IMF and the United States," Aguiar stated. The plenary will be held at the national headquarters of ATE, specifically in the Eva PerĂ³n Amphitheater.
