The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, will formalize her transfer to La Libertad Avanza (LLA) today by signing her affiliation at an event before the head of the space, Karina Milei, and the libertarian candidate for Buenos Aires, Manuel Adorni. The event will take place in an emblematic square in the City of Buenos Aires at 6 PM. Bullrich, who was a presidential candidate for Juntos por el Cambio, aligned herself with the policies of President Javier Milei and was in charge of the National Ministry of Security, will leave the ranks of the party founded by Mauricio Macri.
After being eliminated from the runoff in October 2023, Bullrich and Macri supported the candidate Javier Milei, who would face Sergio Massa in November of the same year. Despite her affiliation with PRO, Bullrich has become one of the president's favorite officials, who praises her work in security matters. Her arrival at La Libertad Avanza comes amid negotiations between LLA and several representatives of PRO to reach an agreement in the province of Buenos Aires.
Bullrich, who has been mentioned as a possible candidate for senator in the national elections of October, has generated buzz with her move to LLA, in a context where Mauricio Macri sets conditions for an agreement between the parties to avoid the dilution of PRO in the new purple party. At her last event as a member of PRO, the Minister attended the presentation of the book "Don't Break My Balls" by Damián Arabia at the Book Fair, where she expressed her support and pride for the deputy.
Amidst criticisms of Macri's direction within PRO, Bullrich has decided to formalize her total alignment with La Libertad Avanza, in what her supporters call "the natural process". The Minister, who has shown support for President Milei, takes a significant step by joining this party at a key moment in Argentine politics.
