The head of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Jorge Macri, highlighted the importance of having achieved a reduction in spending and resisting the economic crisis while carrying out public works. He emphasized that his approach differs from the national Government, as the City prioritizes care and affection instead of more drastic policies.
In radio statements, Macri questioned candidates from other political spaces, mentioning the lack of concrete proposals on how to address the City's debt and other relevant issues. He stressed the need for a greater number of legislators to promote new laws that benefit the residents of Buenos Aires, such as the 'anti-pitman law' or to discuss the autonomy of the City.
The PRO leader also emphasized the economic differences with other candidates, such as Javier Milei, asserting that the City maintains financial balance with a surplus, allocating a minimal part of the budget to debt repayment. He underscored the importance of not applying the same policies that led to the national crisis during the Kirchnerist government.
Regarding the elections on May 19, Macri urged to vote for Silvia Lospennato, highlighting her commitment to the party's proposals and her defense of the City's interests. He emphasized that Lospennato demonstrated alignment with PRO policies during a debate, underscoring the importance of having legislators who seek the benefit of the community.
