Milei Intensifies Campaign Ahead of Buenos Aires Elections

President Javier Milei will appear this week alongside his candidate for the legislature of Buenos Aires City, Manuel Adorni, to intensify the campaign in which he seeks to make it clear that the presidential spokesperson is the only libertarian candidate competing for a seat in the City Legislature on May 18. With 15 days to go before the elections, the president plans to attend La Misa, the streaming program hosted by Daniel Parisini, better known as 'El Gordo Dan,' which airs daily on the Carajo channel.

Something similar, but magnified compared to what was seen during the brief visit to Comuna 8, which included the presence of four members of the Federal Special Operations Group, from above, and the participation of members of the City Police and the Federal Police Riot Unit of Argentina. Although the initial idea was to conclude the campaign in Plaza Holanda, a territory known to libertarians since the president launched his candidacy for deputy there in 2021, the organization debated the location due to the complications presented by the security operation deployment.

Furthermore, they are still debating the location for what will be a kind of traditional event, where a small stage is expected for the speeches of the protagonists that will conclude with the president's remarks. The objective of the strategy is clear: to establish in all Buenos Aires neighborhoods that 'Adorni is Milei.' As a security detail for Adorni, there is a plan to replicate the dynamic at the campaign closing event scheduled for May 14, ahead of the electoral ban that will begin on Friday the 16th. For this, the Military House and presidential private security must design a strategic security operation to protect the President's integrity.

The rounds, posters, spots, banners, and public statements aim to dispel doubts and prevent any loss of libertarian votes due to the candidacy of the expelled Ramiro Marra, who will run separately and under the UCEDÉ label. The event, which marks eleven years, brings together entrepreneurs, finance executives, economists, and officials, and will feature financial advisor Miguel Ángel Boggiano, deputy Luciano Laspina, and CEO of BYMA Claudio Zuchovicki, among other personalities. Milei is expected to attend accompanied by his presidential spokesperson.

However, this will not be the only activity they share, as the president prepares to conclude the schedule of activities grandly alongside his porteño protégé. With the precedent of the brief visit to Villa Lugano, where Milei was seen enjoying the company of local residents. Although the original idea was for both members of the Executive to participate on Monday, April 21, it had to be postponed due to the death of Pope Francis, and it was rescheduled for this week, with Thursday as a tentative date, yet to be confirmed.

Very active on social media, in a clear recovery of the disruptive profile, Milei is waging a fierce campaign against journalism and replicates every activity typical of the violet campaign in the city. On the same Thursday, May 8, at noon, he will close the Latam Economic Forum organized by Darío Epstein, which will be held at the Golden Center complex in Parque Norte.
