The Minister of the Buenos Aires government, Carlos Bianco, criticized the sectors of Unión por la Patria (UxP) linked to La Cámpora in the Buenos Aires Legislature for not supporting Governor Axel Kicillof in his proposal to separate the provincial elections.
According to Bianco, from March 25 when Kicillof met with Máximo Kirchner and Sergio Massa to discuss the unity list for the legislative elections, no progress has been made with the different sectors of Buenos Aires Peronism. An initiative presented by Kirchnerism against the separation of the provincial elections broke the dialogue between the parties.
Bianco mentioned that some members of the ruling bloc have supported the Executive's projects, while others have presented initiatives against them, which, in his opinion, does not constitute a real ruling party. Furthermore, he expressed that he has no evidence that Governor Kicillof has held conversations with former president Cristina Kirchner.
In summary, the Buenos Aires official pointed out the lack of support from certain sectors of Peronism in the provincial Legislature towards Governor Kicillof's proposals, which has hindered unity and the formation of lists for the legislative elections.
