Horacio Rodríguez Larreta confirmed his candidacy for the Buenos Aires Legislature in an interview with Carlos Pagni on La Nación Más. In it, he indicated that 'Losing an election was a tough blow, but it confirmed my vocation for service.'

Larreta expressed his concern about the current state of the City of Buenos Aires, mentioning that 'It is dirtier, more insecure, there are no works and no direction.' He also criticized the lack of police presence on the streets and the decline in the quality of urban cleaning.

Regarding his change of political focus after having been a presidential candidate in 2023, Larreta emphasized that he feels the need to improve the quality of life for the residents. He stated that he wants to contribute from the Legislature to reverse the current situation.

On his relationship with Mauricio Macri, Larreta indicated that it is distant, thus confirming his nomination as a candidate without prior negotiations. He assured that he returns to politics because he knows the City, loves it, and believes he can make a difference in its management.

The former head of the Buenos Aires Government also criticized Jorge Macri's management, emphasizing the need for change. In this regard, he launched the phrase that spread quickly: 'I return because there is a smell of urine,' referring to the deterioration of public spaces and the lack of maintenance on the streets of Buenos Aires.

Larreta mentioned some of his proposals, such as the need to advance with the Sarmiento train viaduct, improve the recycling and urban cleaning system, as well as enhance electric transportation. He stressed that his return to local politics is due to his commitment to restoring the quality of life in the City.
